Juicing Adventures

Hello there! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. To be honest I was a bit of a stress case this weekend, so I did what I should not have done, and hid behind a book. Two books to be exact. Sometimes you need to just get away from it all for a bit.

Back in the swing of things today though, did some dishes, cleaning, laundry, and relaxing. We started off the day quite colorfully!

(isn’t the color AMAZING?!?)

My mother-in-law sent us an extra juicer that she had, an Omega juicer (I looked them up online, they are good stuff!). Unfortunately, my BFF at the UPS store in Cali dropped it and broke off one of the latches. My MIL, being the super nice lady that she is, didn’t ask them to replace it or anything, but did get free shipping (holler).

Turns out the latch was kind of important and it took both of us to get the juicer to work. One of us juiced, the other held the top on with a towel. It leaked a little, but it still juiced!

Today we juiced a pineapple, beets, and some kale. Not a lot of kale, because we did a few leaves and it was reeeaaaallllyyyy pungent. It smelled almost exactly like wheat grass. I used to get wheat grass shots when I want to a dance intensive one summer in high school, and even thought I know that they are good for you, they make me gag.

The juice was SO good! I loved it, I think that once we are in the new house, it will be a little easier to deal with. We are pretty much doubling out kitchen space. I am SO excited about this new place. We have a few weeks to make the transition complete, and hopefully if they let us, we can do some painting. The place is cute now, but it doesn’t really go with what we have right now.

The rest of my night is going to be looking at websites for decorating and paint inspirations and making breakfast for dinner.

Enjoy your Sunday evening lovlies!! ❤
